The college has set a benchmark in the field of research in Science as it has 06 research centers and 06 faculty members are registered as research supervisor. Interdisciplinary research has received critical acclaim. The college has organized National Seminars, Workshops, Conference and Symposium which were graced by eminent scientists of national and international fame. Funding agencies for research seminars are UGC, Chhattisgarh Council of Science Technology supported by local organization/institutions. Extension Lectures are organized regularly under holistic educational programs. Faculty members avail study leave to complete their academic projects. Moreover, Duty leave and TA/ DA are also given to faculty in order to motivate research activities.

The college makes continuous effort in promoting research activities and encouraging the scholars to come up with new dimensions in the field of research. The College has a Network Research Centre, Internet facilities for faculty and students, well equipped laboratories, and a well-stocked automated library to inspire and facilitate the teaching, learning & research. Many faculty members of the college are regularly publishing research papers in Peer Reviewed Journals, and are actively involved in organizing seminars/ workshops. During the last five years more than 100 research papers have been published. A number of faculty members have books to their credit, and are editors on advisory editorial boards of research journals.
