To enhance the academic excellence and promote the research calibre among the students of postgraduate course for prosperous carrier in the field of microbiology, a scheme of project work has been included in syllabus. This project work has been introduced as a part of fulfilment of M. Sc. degree carrying total 300 marks which substitutes for two theory papers and one practical paper.
This external outgoing project has been introduced from the session 2014-15. The students choose their research centres / research scientist / research workers according to their choice of interest. Prior permission is taken from the different centres and supervisors through proper channel. Students present their research work and are evaluated by senior external examiners. Up till now students of 5 batches have been benefited through this activity and helped in their overall academic as well as personal development.
