The National Cadet Corps is intended to inculcate discipline and a sense of duty among the students. The NCC provides ample opportunities to develop one’s physical and intellectual potentials through training camps. Qualifications in N.C.C. prove advantageous to the students in their future career. 32 seats are reserved for ‘C’ certificate holders in I.M.A. per course on the basis of merit. Various courses like paratraining, Mountaineering with Rock Climbing, Basic Leadership and Advanced Leadership courses are open to N.C.C. Cadets, N.C.C. Cadets with 50% marks in graduation, below 25 yrs and ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate are eligible for direct SSB interview for Officer Training Academy, Chennai. Membership in the NCC entitles one to gain Weightage in college admission. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit Govt ERR PG Science College, part of 07 Chhattisgarh Battalion had its commencement in the College in the year 1987. This unit is attached to the Army Wing Senior Wing. There are currently 54 cadets in the unit. The unit is lead by Dr. Arun Kumar Kashyap, Assistant Professor (Biotechnology) Under the guidance of Major Dr M. Mehta Professor (Physics). Cadets of the college gets various training like Camp Training, Attachment Training Army Wing Activities, Youth Exchange Programme, Community Development Programme cum Social Service Activities Adventure Training, Cycle Expedition, Trekking & Sports etc Foot Drill, Arms Drill Weapons Training Self Defence Map Reading Every Year Cadets of the college attend Training camp, Army Attachment camp, get selected For RDC camp. This year also Cadet Om Prakash Sahu Got selected for RDC camp and has cleared second round of RDC.

  • To develop character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.

  • To create human resources of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.

  • To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
