The extension activities of the college are Social work, Health and Hygiene awareness, Medical Camp, Blood donation camp, AIDS and Health awareness and Disaster Management and Literacy in Computer etc. Members of the faculty are given additional responsibilities to look after extension activities like NSS, Youth Red Cross, NCC and they are designated as NSS Programme Officer(s), Counselor(s) of Youth Red Cross and NCC Officers. The social outreach programmes are implemented by the student volunteers in NSS, YRC and NCC Cadets. The students and teachers are encouraged to participate in extension activities for which due weightage is given to students at the time of admission and they are nominated members in various committees and in Students‟ Council. There is honorarium package for teachers, recognition by the university and the state. Outstanding achievements of teachers are entered in their PAR which counts for promotion and career advancement. Recently one boy and one girl student have been nominated Brand Ambassador for enhancing voting percent in the assembly and parliament election under SWEEP programme.

National Science Day Celebration is organized every year with financial support from CG Council of Science & Technology, Raipur. Under this programme, faculty members of the college visits rural areas, organize various programmes like quiz, poster, essay writing, model competition among rural students to develop scientific awareness, aptitude and temper. Prizes are also distributed to boost their confidence. During last academic session postgraduate students of Zoology department have surveyed tiger project of Achanakmar reserve forest.
